Maltem SAS (hereinafter, “we”, “us”, “our” or “Maltem”) may collect and process personal data relating to you when you visit this website.

 

 

Personal data that can be gathered via our website

 

You may visit Maltem’s website without having to disclose your personal data.

However, to access certain services available on our website, such as downloading documents or forms, or if you wish to receive information, sign up for our newsletters, or for any other specific reason, Maltem may ask you to provide personal data. You are under no obligation to disclose personal data; if you do not wish to do so, you will simply be unable to use the services on Maltem’s website requiring such information.

 

The type of personal data gathered from Maltem’s website is as follows:

Maltem uses your personal data only where required for specific purposes. Please view the table below which indicates the purposes for which Maltem uses your personal data and shows an overview of the legal basis for each purpose.

Sharing of your personal data

 

  1. With other entities of the group and third-party suppliers

 

We may share your personal data with other entities of Maltem group, partners and subcontractors and transfer it to countries in the world where we do business, including those located outside the European Union (EU).

 

In that case, such data transfers will be covered by the « standard contractual clauses » adopted by the European Commission in order to ensure an adequate level of protection of your data in compliance with the applicable regulations.   1. Judicial, public and/or governmental authorities

 

We may also be required – by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence— to disclose your personal data.  We may also disclose your personal data if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.

We may also disclose personal information if we determine in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights and pursue available remedies, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud, or protect our operations or users.

 

How long will your personal data be retained by us?

 

When you are an existing client, we will keep your personal data as long as our contractual and/or business relationship lasts. We may then place your personal data in an intermediary database for five (5) years after our contractual and/or business relationship lasts.

If you are a prospect with no established contractual and/or business relationship, we will not keep your data for longer than three (3) years after you last contacted us.

If you are a candidate, please note that if you are not hired, we will delete the information you shared with us at the latest two (2) years after you shared the information.

 

Security

 

Maltem has implemented certain technical and organisational measures to prevent any unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, unauthorised alteration, illegal destruction or accidental loss of your personal data.

However, providing personal data (either directly on the website, by telephone or via the Internet) is never entirely risk-free and electronic communication systems cannot be completely protected from sabotage or hacking. The Internet is an open, insecure system and Maltem may not be held liable for the security of personal data transfer.

 

 

Which rights do you have with respect to the processing of your personal data and how to exercise them?

 

You have the right to access your personal data at any time. You also have the right to request that your data be rectified, deleted, or to limit or object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability as stipulated by applicable regulations.

You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent authority of your country in charge of ensuring personal data protection (in France, it is the CNIL, Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés).

 

Your request must specify your full name and address in order to correspond with you. Your request will be answered without undue delay, and in any event, within one month of receipt of the request. That period may be extended by two further months due to the complexity of the request or due to a significant number of requests to be processed by Maltem. In such a case, you will be promptly informed of the extension of the response period.
